I have been very busy with school this semester! Then we decided it would be better for me to graduate sooner instead of later. So I'm going to Las Vegas this summer to do my student teaching. Which means that I'm now trying to apply for teaching jobs that would start this fall. Then Marissa has been doing really good in pre-school. On March 16th we get register for Kindergarten. It's crazy to think that she's going to be 5 years old. I'm currently working with reading specialist during my classroom hours for the classes I'm taking right now. I was looking through the phonics cards that she uses and we started talking about Marissa and learning phonics. She told me about Starfall . It has free learning activities and it is designed for very young children to use. I showed it to Marissa and she gets to play it for a reward. She loves it and she can navigate it all on her own. Andrew will watch as Marissa plays it and he'll say the sounds of the lett...

We took the kids up to Woods Ranch (it's just up Cedar Canyon) to go sledding. The sleds we bought were okay. However, no matter who hard Micah and I tried to keep it going strait as soon as it hit any little thing to throw it off course we would tip right over. Neither of the kids thought it was too fun. So we let them play in the snow for a little bit. They had fun until Andrew started a snow ball fight and then Marissa ended it real fast being that she can pick up more snow faster.

We had a wonderful Christmas. On Christmas Eve the kids left cookies and carrots out for Santa and his reindeer. And then I helped them write notes to Santa. Marissa asked Santa to bring her presents and asked if Santa could stay and play with her toys with her. Andrew just if Santa would please come to our house. Santa did come to our house. The kids were excited to see all the boxes under the tree. After we eat a good breakfast and Christmas Breakfast Rolls we started to open presents. They were both very excited about every present they got to open and play with. That night we had Blaine and Annette over for diner. It was our first time being the host for a Christmas Diner! I would have to say the meal was a success. After diner we talked and played Hand and Foot. It was Blaine's first time playing the game, but I think he had fun.

Here is your first look at Marissa's new glasses!! She looks beautiful! And now she can see, too!! Her teachers have been very positive and excited for her. Which of course has made her so proud of her new glasses. Don't tell anyone, but I think they just help to show how smart she is! Yesterday, at the Nay family dinner, when she walked in the house a few people thought they saw Kelsey (her cousin) walking through the door. And Thank you to Grandma and Stacey for the wonderful and perfectly timed gift of fall church clothes for Marissa and Andrew.

We don't get the keys to our new house until the 9th of September. But I started packing this weekend. I've been stacking things in the toy room. Shortly after the kids got up from their naps I was finishing up with the food storage boxes. I carried the box into the toy room when I heard Andrew say, "I'm up high up, Mommy!" I looked up to see this....
